In a recent court filing, Altaune Brown has lodged a complaint against NY Community Financial, LLC, operating as CFSC, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The lawsuit accuses CFSC of failing to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as New York State and City Human Rights Laws. Brown, who is paraplegic and uses a wheelchair, claims that barriers at CFSC’s premises have denied him independent access to their services. The complaint highlights specific accessibility issues such as steps at the entrance and inadequate service counters. Brown seeks injunctive relief to make the premises ADA-compliant, along with compensatory damages and attorney fees.
