Danielle Fish, a former employee of Island Peer Review Organization, Inc. (IPRO), has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. The complaint alleges racial and disability discrimination, harassment, and retaliation by IPRO and two individual defendants, Candace Haskell and Debora Santiago. Fish claims she was denied a promised hybrid remote work schedule due to her race and disability, diagnosed as generalized anxiety disorder. After raising concerns about discrimination and requesting accommodations, Fish alleges she was wrongfully terminated in a humiliating manner. The lawsuit seeks damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Section 1981, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the New York State Human Rights Law.
