Attorney General Letitia James issued a statement following a federal court decision requiring the Trump administration to distribute full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November to states by the next day.

“A judge in Rhode Island just stopped the federal government from starving millions of Americans. I am relieved that people will get the food they need, but it is outrageous that it took a lawsuit to make the federal government feed its own people,” said Attorney General James.

The ruling ensures that millions of Americans who rely on SNAP will receive their expected food assistance for November.
