A former administrator at the Gow School in South Wales, New York, has been sentenced to 26 years in prison for producing child pornography. Matthew Fisher, 52, who previously served as Associate Director of Enrollment and Management at the private boarding school, will also be subject to 10 years of supervised release and must pay $22,500 in restitution. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, Fisher used hidden cameras between June 2022 and November 2023 to record and attempt to record videos of at least five minor boys engaged in sexually explicit conduct while he lived on the Gow School campus. Investigators seized several electronic devices from Fisher that contained child pornography involving these victims as well as other unidentified minors.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation Task Force, the Town of Tonawanda Police Department, the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Transit Police Department, and the East Aurora Police Department.

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo stated: “Matthew Fisher…was convicted of production of child pornography [and] was sentenced to serve to 26 years in prison and 10 years supervised release by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. Fisher was also ordered to pay $22,500 in restitution.”
