U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Timothy Tundo, a 62-year-old resident of Bethany, New York, has pleaded guilty to multiple charges. These include possession with intent to distribute LSD, possession of firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking, and unlawful possession of machine guns. The offenses carry a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and could lead to a maximum life sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joshua A. Violanti and Stacey Jacovetti are handling the case. They reported that law enforcement conducted a search at Tundo’s home in February 2021. During this search, they discovered various controlled substances including LSD, oxycodone, and marijuana. Additionally, authorities found two machine guns, three assault weapons, 12 long guns, five pistols, a cap gun, ammunition, magazines, $2,500 in cash, and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation was carried out by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff Joseph Graff’s direction and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives led by Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller from the New York Field Division.

Tundo is scheduled for sentencing on November 14th at 9:30 a.m., before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.
