Ever Josue Erazo-Lopez, a 30-year-old citizen of Honduras, pleaded guilty to the charge of re-entry of a removed alien in Rochester, New York. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo. Following his plea before U.S. District Judge Meredith A. Vacca, Erazo-Lopez was sentenced to time served and subsequently handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas M. Testani explained that Erazo-Lopez did not have legal status in the United States and had previously been removed from the country in July 2019. On September 27, 2025, he was taken into custody by police in Brighton, New York, on suspicion of drunk driving.

“This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” according to information released by authorities.

The investigation leading to Erazo-Lopez’s plea and sentencing was conducted by U.S. Border Patrol under Acting Chief Patrol Agent James D’Amato.
