Plaintiffs Jhoany Adame and Justin Rivera have filed a class action lawsuit against The Institute of Culinary Education, Inc. (ICE) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The lawsuit alleges that ICE failed to adequately protect sensitive personal information of its students and employees, leading to a data breach that exposed details such as names, Social Security numbers, and birth dates. The breach was reportedly discovered on August 26, 2025, although unauthorized access occurred months earlier. Plaintiffs claim negligence, breach of implied contract, unjust enrichment, and seek damages along with injunctive relief to prevent future breaches.
