Isaiah Josiah Dre Riley, 23, of Olean, New York, pleaded guilty on Apr. 2 to possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.

The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of up to 40 years, along with a potential fine of $5 million.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt I. Kass said that in December 2024, law enforcement observed Riley selling crack cocaine from a residence on 3rd Avenue in Olean. On January 14, 2025, investigators executed search warrants at the location and seized suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and $2,579 in cash. Riley was taken into custody at the scene.

The investigation involved the Drug Enforcement Administration under Special Agent-in-Charge Farhana Islam; the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force led by Chautauqua County Sheriff James Quattrone; and the Olean Police Department headed by Chief Ron Richardson.

Sentencing for Riley is scheduled for September 28 before Judge Vilardo.
