U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Dylan C. Irvin, a 26-year-old from Bradford, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release for receiving child pornography. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who prosecuted the case, detailed that in June or July of 2023, Irvin engaged in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl and recorded the incident using his cell phone. He later received the video on a Snapchat account he controlled. Irvin was arrested on March 5, 2024, on state charges related to this sexual contact, during which his cell phone was confiscated and searched by authorities who discovered the video.

The investigation leading to Irvin’s sentencing involved multiple law enforcement agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), led by Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Mark Grimm; the New York State Police under Major Amie Feroleto; and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office directed by Sheriff Eric Butler.
