Erika Alexandria, a visually-impaired resident of New York, has filed a class action lawsuit against Wray, Inc., alleging that the company’s website is inaccessible to blind and visually-impaired users. The complaint was filed on November 26, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Alexandria claims that Wray’s failure to make its website accessible violates her rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL).

The lawsuit highlights the challenges faced by visually-impaired individuals who rely on screen-reading software to navigate websites. According to Alexandria, Wray’s website contains numerous access barriers that prevent blind users from enjoying the same online shopping experience as sighted individuals. These barriers include missing alt-text for images, broken links, and improperly labeled interactive elements. Alexandria specifically mentions her attempt to purchase a “Vanessa Dress” from Wray’s website on May 16, 2025, which was thwarted by these accessibility issues.

Alexandria argues that Wray’s actions constitute discrimination against visually-impaired consumers by denying them full and equal access to its online goods and services. She asserts that compliance with established web accessibility guidelines would rectify these issues and ensure equal access for all users. The lawsuit seeks a permanent injunction requiring Wray to implement changes in its corporate policies and practices to make its website accessible according to WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

In addition to injunctive relief, Alexandria is seeking compensatory damages for herself and other similarly situated individuals who have been denied access due to Wray’s inaccessible website. The case also calls for punitive damages under NYCHRL provisions and requests certification of both a nationwide class of affected individuals and a subclass within New York City.

Representing Erika Alexandria in this case is attorney Rami Salim from Stein Saks PLLC. The case has been assigned Case No.: 25-9866 in the Southern District of New York.
