Srinivas Ginjupalli has filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York against several entities, including Chameleon Finance and Lakshmi Finance Center, alleging that he was defrauded of approximately $3.7 million through an elaborate investment scam. The scheme, described as a “pig butchering” fraud, involved convincing Ginjupalli to invest in fake cryptocurrency assets with promises of high returns. The defendants allegedly used sophisticated social engineering tactics to gain his trust and induce further investments. Despite attempts to withdraw funds, Ginjupalli faced unlawful restrictions and demands for additional deposits under false pretenses. He is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as the return of his assets.
